A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth and can improve the colour, shape and position of your teeth.
Having it for the first time?
Getting a dental veneer usually requires three trips to the dentist – one for a consultation and two to make and apply the veneers. One tooth or many teeth can simultaneously undergo the veneering process. In nearly every case, your dentist will need to remove a small amount of enamel from each treated tooth. The prepared veneer is then fitted over the existing tooth and permanently cemented.
